Platinum Alphera Comprehensive Motor Vehicle Insurance offers the flexibility of two types of policies: a Prestige Insurance Policy for luxury vehicles and a Standard Insurance Policy for all other types of vehicles. You should always read your Product Disclosure Statement when considering purchasing these policies.

There are specific features of both policies that apply when the vehicle is insured from "showroom new" condition, and general features that apply to all other cars insured with Alphera Insurance.

The specific policy features applying to a new vehicle include:

• If your car is less than 12 months old and was purchased new from a dealer and a total loss occurs, we will replace it with a new vehicle of the same make, model or series subject to availability.
• Market Value or Agreed Value options.

The general policy features applying to all vehicles include:

• Lifetime Protected No Claim Discount or Rating Entitlement
• Your choice of repairer
• Hire car following theft
• Excess options
• Off road coverage
• Automatic car transfer
• Personal property in your car
• Travel, accommodation and emergency expenses
• Towing costs
• Trailer cover
• Cooling off period - within 14 days of effecting a new policy
